historical village of Balloch, lying close to the
shores of Loch Lomond and within Scotland's first
National Park. Situated directly at the mouth of the
loch where it meets the river Leven, the
surroundings are spectacular and visitors are only a
short distance away from cruises on Scotland's most
famous loch.
Balloch Park and
Castle are also within easy reach, boasting 200
acres of country park, nature walks, gardens and
breathtaking views over Loch Lomond.
The Anchorage is
an ideal stopping off place for visitors standing as
it does at the gateway to the Western Isles. It is
also a good base for those wishing to spend a few
days taking in the wonderful attractions including,
golfing, walking, cycling, fishing, water sports,
sailing, canoeing and boat hire. Horse riding and
pony trekking can be found just outside Balloch. |
