Thornbridge Manor is situated in Great Longstone, an unspoilt, attractive village with 2 good pubs, butcher’s shop and general village store. The Lodge can be found just off the famous Monsal Trail - access onto it is directly via the Lodge gates.

Its idyllic situation is perfect for walkers, cyclists and families and is the ideal base for exploring, relaxing and enjoying the many attractions of the Peak Park.

Derwent View is a superb detached, self- catering holiday accommodation which sleeps 6 people, with spectacular views. The property is maintained by the family and has 3 double bedrooms, (2 with en-suite facilities and 1 twin bedded room). There is a lounge, hall, kitchen, dining room, and an extra bathroom,  with toilet, bath and washbasin. All rooms are on the ground level. There's a garage and private, gated well-maintained gardens, with patio and barbeque facilities.

We supply ready meals and keep them in the freezer. They are from our local country market. We sell them at cost, for our customers added value, while on holiday.

Vic has been established at Dane Cottage since 1994 and in that time has made many friends who return for the hospitality.

Vic's working life is in the catering sector, so is qualified to know how best to look after you at the breakfast table or in the evenings..... 

There is very much a homely feel to Dane Cottage. The kitchen area is characterised by a large Welsh Dresser which is adorned by a collection of cups, saucers and plates from travelling. All the bedrooms have hospitality tray and television and are warm and cosy, inviting you to have a good night's sleep... In this industry, the breakfast is looked upon as being the main meal for the day, and at Dane Cottage, this is no exception. Here, you can have a hearty breakfast leaving you no room for lunch...

The Cottage is run by the owner Helen who strives to make the Guest House a warm and friendly atmosphere for all her Guests. The property built in the late 17 century, was originally four cottages and has bean sympathetically altered to 7 letting bedrooms consisting of 4 en suite and 3 with shared bathrooms.
There is a small Guest kitchen with microwave and fridge in it for those who wish to use it.
There is plenty of car parking behind the premises leading on to a spacious garden which our guests are very welcome to enjoy.
In the Village there is Church of England, Methodist  and Catholic churches. Located in the very centre of Castleton, famous for its castle, its caverns and Blue John stone. There is so much to see and do that once you arrive, you really don't have to use the car again if you so wish!

Conveniently situated in the centre of the ancient mid peak district village of Tideswell, opposite the Natwest Bank (which has an ATM), Poppies offer a very warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and good, home-produced food at a reasonable cost.

Our accommodation comprises a double en-suite room, a twin and a family room which share bathroom and two toilets; of course all rooms have a wash basin, colour TV, central heating & beverage making facilities.

One important point to note is that Poppies is a "no smoking" establishment. Less usual facilities are secure indoor cycle storage and we also accept well behaved dogs.

Our eggs are free-range, sourced locally from Wendy or Ben in the village, they are happy hens that are free to roam around outside - the yolks are a beautiful dark yellow colour and they taste divine!  They can be boiled, poached, fried or scrambled with cream and fresh chives Put this with fresh tomatoes & field mushrooms, healthy fried bread and other things from time to time.
